RTiA3 stand recommendations?

Hi all,

Just bought some RTiA3s. Driving them with an NAD C352. Currently they're sitting on my TV stand, which is way wider than my TV. Even so, they hang over the edge a bit so I'd like to move them to stands. However, I've never owned bookshelf speakers before, and these ones seem on the huge side to me, and most of the stands sound like the top platforms are way too small.

The footprint of the RTiA3s is about 8.5"x14", while even the biggest stands I've seen seem to be around 6"x6". I assume it's ok, even preferable for looks to have the stand a little smaller than the speaker bottom, but how much smaller is safe? Also, do you guys do anything to keep the speakers from walking off the stand? Or is that not an issue? I'm wondering if I should put a couple of points of sticky tack or two-way tape or some such on there.

Anyway, any recommendations for stands would be appreciated, with bonus points for:

- Cheap-ish (rather not spend over $100 for stands for speakers that only cost $300)
- Shipping in Canada
- Reasonably steady; will have a small dog (13lbs) occasionally running around with a toy near the bases.
- Also would like them to be around 24" high (want them about ear height when I'm sitting on a couch)

Thanks.
