What comparison are you looking for? I could take a picture of them next to some LSi7's if that would help.

Comparison next to anything, like your hand, anything for a good visual size referance. Would these blow the fxia4 out of the water?

What is the rest of your system composed of? What will you be powering them with? And why would you replace only one pair of FXi? Seems like a strange thought to me.

My new system of speakers gets here on wendsday powered by a yamaha a2000 and a emotiva 1000 watt xpa5
lsi15, lsic, two pairs of fxi a4 surrounds. If i had known i was buying the xpa5 I would have just ordered a pair of lsifx. I might and probably just keep my fxi a4s for surround and rear or run a pair of lsifx for my sides with a4 in the back. Mix match should be perfectly fine, i been running mixed match for 14 years fine, one pair of lsifx would complete a matched 5.1 if i deem the high price worth it

I would have just went with lsifx. Some people also prefer a traditional direct firing book shelf for the rear surrounds. I believe according to THX you only use bipole / dipole speakers for side surrounds, and a book shelf for rear surrounds.

Also cramming in a 7.1 system in a room that is to small isn't a good idea.
    AVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808
    Amplifier: Carver A-753x 250 watts x 3
Fronts: Polk RTI A7 (modded by Trey VR3)
Center: CSI A4 (modded by Trey VR3)
    Rear: FXI A4
    Sub: Polk DSW Pro 660wi
    TV: LG Infinia 50PX950 3D
    Speaker Cable: AudioQuest Type 8
    IC: AudioQuest Black Mamba II

I think it's less about room size, and more about proper positioning. I have a 7.1 system in a small room (10x11.5), but I have them positioned properly. There is a noticeable improvement in terms of the surround sound. Sound that is supposed to come from behind actually does, and it makes a (somewhat startling) difference in certain movies.

Here are few pics of mine. I replaced Def Tech Gem XL's so I can't really offer a comparison to what you have. Bob

You'll be fine with the FXI's, you probably wouldn't hear a difference between the two.

Thanks for the pics its exactly what i wanted to see. I figure im currently happy with my 7.1 in my small living room, so im a just run 7.1 again but add 2 sats for presence to 9.1. The more i shove my seat forward the more space behind me and the rear surrounds

I think tony might be right

Burts, those pictures are of the LSiM/FX's, not the LSi/FX's. I will try to get a couple of comparison pics of the LSiFX's up for you later tonight.
