I installed Larrys Tweeter brackets today. All seemed good. Until I played some music and now no sound out of right speaker tweeters.

All wires seemed to be connected.
One thing I forgot to turn off amp while I did this (did I short something?)

Please help me troubleshoot.

Fyi- I am not technical at all so please keep any recommendations in laymen speak.

Thanks!!
I got static in my head

FYI- SDA 1C's w/dual crossover. All wires to tweeters seem to come from bottom crossover.

Turn off equipment, switch tweeters and see if the dead one plays where the good one is.
If not it might be blown, of course it could be in the crossover since you didn't disconnect power.
You are very lucky you did not blow your amp.

Why do people do these thing's like this without turning everything off first. You probably fried the tweeters get an Ohm meter and check the the tweeters I think they should read 7 - 8 Ohms if they read ok then you most likely popped something in the crossover maybe the polyswitch if your lucky.

Tweeters all work when connected to left speaker. Must be in the crossover. Polyswitch?

This was a case of drunk SDA listening. The amp was left on from last night. I didnt even ck to see if it was on or not because of course "I always turn it off after listening" So I went about my business and was done and then went to do a listening test and then noticed that the amp was left on from last night.

If your lucky, you can jumper it (it's a little blue thingy) to see if that fix's it if not you may have blown a cap or resistor. If you could post a pic of the affected crossover that might help.

I tested the tweeters with multimeter. All read 6.5 ohms.
Visually the crossover looks fine. I will take a pic and post.

This may be a good time to upgrade the caps and resistors.
