    He was old school and was one of a handful who turned to producing and bonding two generations of rappers. He stayed away from the gang scene, but some of them succumb to the violence of crime just for being around in the same element.

    By the way, rap is not music. It's rap and music but rap itself is not music by definition, it's spoken word.
