PSW300 front surface beginning to peel

Hi guys, first post. I have a Polk PSW300 that runs like a champ, but the front of it has started peeling away. It seems as though it's some sort of vinyl contact paper that was stuck on the front of this thing instead of a veneer like on the top and sides.
I've searched and noticed that others have had this same issue, but never really learned if anyone has successfully fixed this issue. It's really starting to bother me.
This seems like the type of thing that could be very easy to make worse if the wrong type of repair is attempted, so I'd really like to hear from someone with experience.
