Hey don't put me in the middle of your anger towards scott.. I was simply saying what i thought, and i also mentioned how i did take your word for it, I believed you and that was all.. Just that was real real cheap.... a great deal indeed... I like to be cool and calm (anymore anyways) on here. So no hard feelings, i hope you don't think " I " was giving you a hard time... I don't think scott was to you personally, but to the shop you spoke off.. BUT again im not scott and i don't know what his intention was really either way

    Faster,

I wasn't in any way trying to show anger toward you, thats why I seperated the replys, in my reply to you, I just wanted to point out that, my first post should be read carefully, because I think it may have gotten taken out of context. I was just wanting to share my joy at having gotten a nice deal today, later in my 2nd post in this thread, I wanted to share a place that offers great deals with all of you guys. It's sucks to be happy and want to share something cool, and then have someone want to rain on your parade, ya know? ;) Mr. Vamp's comments were at best, uncalled for in my regard.

I personally pulled up his sale ticket and he did get two RTi150s for $150.39 each. They were purchased on the 17th and adjusted today.

My manager wouldn't do it, saying that managers that have done price matches like that in the past have been fired.

I maybe be able to get the displays for $200 each though.

    Keith,

I'm very sorry to hear that your manager wouldn't do that for you, I had hoped that they could. And I certainly hope the person at the CC I went to for the PM doesn't catch any flak, of course, a policy is a policy, but that is one reason I have spent probly close to 5000 dollars at CC in the past 3 for 4 months. I have also given an acknowledgement and thanks to CC in a thread here at this forum. They have lived up to their word and policies, I couldn't ask for more. And I will gladly spend more money at CC in the future because of it.

My current plan is to try and get the display models for $150-200 each..

either that or get a set of display Entra Threes (which, too me, sound better than Infinity's $500 a pop speakers) for like $100 each.

I am gonna try going up the chain too.. I talked to my operations manager tonight, tomorrow I'll try the store director.

I just got off the phone with the man at sound advice and the price for the rti150 is $169.90ea and they do ship the rti70 209ea they said that they have a number associate stores around the country and that there is one in Phil. Pa called weebeeaudio.com that I can check. Seems that this one could be a winner they handle a countless number of lines in audio. While I had him on the phone I asked him about the B&K 507 $1495.00/ Dennon 3803 $2895.00. How does that compare to others? He also said that they tested my reciever and that it does 130x6 that it is rated and that he thought it pushed a little more. He did seem like a very nice guy, who knows CC may have to start price matching these guys on-line. Just wanted to let everyone know and to call him, you could have one in your area.

    Thanks for the info Terrax

    Dave,

You are certainly welcome, I'm just wanting to help out, and I have no affiliation with Greg and Sound Advice other than thinking it is an incredible place to buy from. I'm going there in a few minutes to pick up my new Pinnacle, Black Diamond BD 1000 Towers, which are stunning to say the least. :D And almost all of my buying of audio equipment will be done there with Greg at Sound Advice from now on.

BTW, Greg told me yesterday that price's can vary day to day, dependant on a number of things, and that it can go up or down,
but the 169.90 doesn't vary much from the 150.39;) As with all of the pricing quotes I got, they are and seem to be fantastic.

I'd say that you have your numbers backwards, but even then, that wouldn't be right since the 3803 goes for around $11-1200........

Terrax, It was a very simple comment and had nothing to do with your credablity. If i were you a would buy the whole eventory and make thousands on Ebay. Like I said - great deal. But way unbelieveable - a bussiness wound go under.
Actually local Hi-Fi shops a usally more expensive than large retailers - not rocket science. It was more towards CC for giving you the insane price match-
Good for you and congrats on the smoking deal - now take you panties out of the knot. I'm one of the cooliest guys on this forum.
But only come in once and a while - a couple bad seeds have really screwed up this forum. "Ignore list" but some still don't get it.

correction, the price of $2895.00 was for the Dennon 5803 not the 3803.

    sorry about that,

I can't imagine how a B&K 507 could be had for that price, so I called today and Greg had gone, but the guy that answered the phone said that they don't sell B&K, and they had no RTi150's. Maybe he just doesn't know what greg knows..........but if a 507 can be had for that price (I'd be blown away), I might pick one up.

When I called Sound Advice, he did say that they were out of the rti150's. The store (WeeBee Audio) he said could help me that is in my state (PA) had told me that they haven't carried polk for over 1.5yrs. and have no affiliation in anyway not even in the same buying circuit as the Sound Advice store. Hummm, I wonder if the guy at sound advice had the correct info on my questions. I was thinking that the B&K was at a price that was unheard of. There web sight does have the b&k 507 with all info on it but no price, who knows it might be a true price...

My wife and I was at Sound Advice around 12:30, 1:00 o'clock today picking up my Pinnacle BD 1000's, Greg was just leaving to go to a wedding when I left. He has a couple of guys around that do installs for him, and that may be who you spoke with. I believe Greg would most likely be the only one there, that knows the business end, as he is the owner. He had quoted me a fantastic price on the Pinnacle Black Diamonds, and came through when it was time for me to pay, he also gave me a quote on a Parasound HCA1000a around 4 and a half or so, which most places I have found selling at retail, 699. only a one or two other web sites I found was even close. Alot of the stuff I priced was at half retail, some even better. Some close to retail, but still cheaper than most places.

Edit: But of course, if you don't feel comfortable doing business there, and want to pay full markup retail price, I really wouldn't want to stop you. But I will shop there, as I have seen the place first hand and will continiue to in the furture.

Edit2: BTW, SilverSonic T-14 Speaker cable - retail $4.00's a foot, I got 24 feet of it today for .99 cents a foot. Also got 24 feet of Horizon Music's 10 AWG Megaflex-Silverflex for .99 cents a foot. That a good deal?

That has run through my mind also Faster and is why I would really like to see first hand before I put my hard earned money down and if I'm close might as well take a look. I am not one to spend money over the phone or e-net for anything unless I know them to be legit like svs (that was the biggest and one of the first buys on e-net) but with there countless reviews I'm not too worried. Otherwise I would like to see first-hand if possable.

Believe me, I can fully understand. Thats why I wound up going to CC and getting a Velo CHT-10 Sub, rather than going the SVS or HSU route. I certainly don't blame you or anyone from wanting to see first hand. I have seen, and once you do, you'll understand why he can sell so low.... He has virtually no overhead. His business is at his house, as he has been in a wheelchair since he was 9 months old. And again, he has been in business for around 28 years... also, check Pinnacle Speakers Web site, for authorized dealers in NC, try zip code 28761, you'll find him list there. Also check, Horizon Music's site, as they also list him, heck I would venture to say, check a number of speaker manufactue's sites, I'm sure he is listed on them as well. Wharfedale, Audio Pro, Acoustic Energy, Anthony Gallo (SP), Induction Dynamics, just to name a few.

Excuse me Brett, ****.. what do you mean begs for deals on the cheap? i don't beg for anything.. If i were young and had no bills or kids i wouldnt have to "find cheap prices"

second, I don't try and sell high retail, what is your problem.. ?? I'm glad i see where i stand with you around here..

I'm ok with the good deals.. You of all people should say anything about being worried of a scam, wasnt it you that got all bent outta shape when a day went by and you didnt get an e-mail from a seller?? Think before you go talking **** about other people, OK ... I have been pretty calm lately around here.. no ****... But comments like that are not needed.. sorry i value my money or lack of it,
