Dared Sl2000A owners or anyone that uses these tubes

I just purchased a SL-2000A and the VP-20 monoblocks. I posted a thread asking for recommendations for upgrades such as new tubes and never got a reply. maybe someone could give me some suggestions here? This is my first venture into tubes. I do not care for my music to be bright. i like soft but defined highs, good midrange and good bass. I don't have a ton of money to just go buying all sorts of different tubes to test unfortunately so hoping for some insight from those fo you that know.

I can speak for the 200a,, get a good Brimar 5Z4G rectifier,,or Bendix 6106,,then some tubes that Brock has for sale here.

I am currently running a pair of Raytheon 12AT7WA Black Plates with the Brimar rectifier and liking them. Cheers. :cool:
