Technics Turntable Restoration

I pulled an old Technics SL-Q303 out of the attic last week and thought it might be fun to give it a try. I have never operated a turntable before and need help with some parts to get it running.

I plugged it in and it spins up fine but there is nothing on the end of the tone arm. I did a little research but I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. I think that it needs a new headshell and cartridge. Are these parts sold together as a package or are they interchangeable with one another?

Where is a good place to find these items online? I want to get this working but don't want to spend too much.
HT Setup: Onkyo 706; Rotel RB-1075; Rti A3; Csi A6; Fxi3's

2 CH: Squeezebox Touch; Dared SL-2000a; GoldenEar Triton 5 or Lsi9's; Parasound 2125; SVS SB12-NSD; Music Hall DAC 25.2

The first to do is to see if everything else is running fine... Turntables are hard to repair if the electronics are bad. If everything else is okay, you can buy headshells and cartridges. The headshells are universal but the adjustments are not. Each turntable has different overhangs and angles for the vertical and lateral points due to the varying lengths of the tonearm. You will need to find a turntable protactor to adjust the angles and shim the cartirdges to get the right vertical height.
