I am glad I posted in the want ads here for this book. Let me first thank Mark for sending me a copy of the first edition to borrow for a few (I will have it sent back to you later this week) and luck have it Aaron was willing to sell me a copy of the 2nd Edition a few days ago and it was on my porch yesterday when I got home..

There is a lot of great info as well as stories in these books, Ray you would be on the forth edition by now had you kept updating it. But one that owns this book could just print out all of the work you have done since the release of the 2nd edition and update there book as you keep raising the bar higher and higher with SDA mods..

I have only been a member here for what 2 1/2 years I think so I wasn't here back in the day when this forum started and when you guys started all the upgrades. Hell I didn't even know what the hell an SDA was till I joined now I own 4 sets of them as well as other Polk Audio products as well as Audio Gear that I never knew exsisted.

I want to thank Ray for putting this together and for those of you that have yet to read it I think most of it is posted here on the forum if you search it out.

As far as my audio Journey and what I have learned here on the Polk Fourm and for those of you that have helped me when needed??

Thank you as I know you know who you are I won't post all the names, and most you are old grouchy **** anyways and will kick me in the nuts for posting your name!!! LOL!!

Peace!!! Yes I got a buzz so don't ask..

I'm thankful I have a copy... I think it's the 2nd edition. I don't reference it much, but it's good to have it there...

SDA's don't need to stay alive forever; they just need to stay alive as long as you do.

I'd love to get a copy of Ray's SDA compendium.

Ray if you decide to update or reprint count me as a buyer.

In June of this year I sent a PDF document entitled "The SDA Handbook" to Kim Jasper (Polk Audio's customer service manager) and asked that it be placed on the forum or elsewhere on the Polkaudio.com website. Kim gave it to Patrick. I assume Patrick will post it once he is caught up on other things.

The Handbook has all the content of the Compendium except for my personal commentary and descriptions of my SDA-based rigs. The Handbook's table of contents is attached below.

Wow! Thank you so much for that. I can't wait to read it. I'd really like a full compendium and would pay but they are so incredibly rare now. I became a member just after these were available to members. Thanks for your hard work and generosity DK!!

Your personal experiences are priceless Ray. I think I speak for all that if you were to leave all of it as written, and perhaps an an updated section to bring it current, it would make for an entertaining read to see just how far we have come over the years since. Put me in for an autographed copy!

Great News! I'll finaly be able to replace my flooded copies of the Compendium V1.0 and 2.0... albeit sans autograph...

Thanks, DK, the pdf plus your many threads over the years doc'ing mods should do quite nicely.
    More later,
