    Yup, as they hinted in the sequence after the credits in Thor. The current rumor, however, is that the main enemy in this is the Skrull.

    No X-Men in The Avengers. The lineup is The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye (who had a cameo in Thor), Black Widow (who was in Iron Man 2), and Nick Fury (who was in Iron Man 1&2, Thor, and Captain America).

    Well, in the comics, he was briefly with both the Avengers and the New Avengers... But I kinda' doubt they want to get their franchises confused, so no... he's not in the movie.
