Lsi25 Connection Methods

I was wondering what the advantages/disadvantages are for the 3 different connection methods on the Lsi25s. My understanding is that the subwoofer in each speaker has its own amplifier and that biamping does nothing for these speakers. So is there any advantage to unbinding the posts and connecting the subwoofers directly to the line out of an amplifier or to an unfiltered LFE?

I've been rethinking the connection on my Lsi25s as well. Right now I just have a single line from my amp. I mainly do this because I play a lot of two-channel audio and I prefer the pure-audio mode on my Onk when using my CDP (which does not output to a sub). However, I believe the downside is that I lose the LFE channel when watching movies and cannot use the Onk to determine the crossover. For me this is no big deal, especially since the Lsi25s have adjustable crossovers. I'm curious what others think.

NewHTguy - by "losing to LFE channel", do you actually lose effects on movies? Or are the same sounds still passed through the speaker wire and/or line out jacks? (Currently I have the system hooked up with wire to the terminals, jumpers removed, and line out to the lower jacks). I, like you, play a lot of two channel audio, and have been trying to figure out how to best connect these speakers.

If your receiver has preamp outs for the left and right channel that you are not using, usually it is easiest just to do these for the subwoofers (with jumpers removed of course) and set your front speakers to large with no subwoofer (if you don't have a separate subwoofer). For all receivers I have had, this will then send the LFE plus bass below the cutoff for any "small" speakers to the front speakers. I have seen on some receivers a separate menu where you have to tell it specifically to send the LFE to the front speakers.

If you know that you can do an unfiltered LFE output from your receiver, then you can do that. Just make sure you get everything set up correctly in the receiver set up about the cutoffs and where to send the bass.

Ok I'll give you the best wiring for those speakers due to usage.
    1) Dual purpose meaning Home theater and 2 channel music.
Leave the jumpers in and run good quality speaker wire to each speaker left and right respectively.
    2) Run Line Level from "LFE" to each sub in the Lsi25's. If you only have 1 LFE out of your receiver/preamp , use a high quality RCA Y adapter.

If you are just using 2 channel stereo
Just run high quality speaker wire to them. Adjust the sub levels to taste.

Thanks! Sorry to be dense, but are you saying that I should hook up the speaker wire to the terminals without removing the jumper and ALSO connect the LFE to the subwoofer in?
