28 ga 6N OCC solid core copper (4 runs).
Carbon Techflex, Cardas Quad solder.
I cannot stand these RS plugs but had a guy pestering me to death for a cable from a mp3 player to his car head unit.
So I simply bought some RS plugs to shut him up!
Ended up sounding pretty damn good!

I am planning on getting some cable pants to cover the ends, solder the cables to the banana plugs and cover the outside of the cables with something (thinking black in color). I just wanted to wait till I figured out if I was going to bi-wire the cables or bi-amp them.
I think I will keep the 15's cables bi-amped and the LSiC bi-wired (need some more banana's though).
Locking Banana's are GLS Audio, the wire is Audioquest FLX CL2 14/4 wire.
Pep, should make you feel better

I like the GLS stuff.
Thier rca plugs are some excellent bang for buck.
How many more banana plugs you need?Testing

I need 2 more of the locking kind since I used 8 per LSi 15 and 4 for the LSiC which amounts to the 20 I purchased."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Not much but more on the cheap and cheerful side of things. Copper color speakers are Nano Neo's designed by Chris Rohmer(sp) on the PE Tech Section. The sub is a leftover car sub and a Karma Polk Plate amp I won on the Forum. The amp is the Sure 100X2 board and a 27v 14.6 amp Meanwell power supply on a breadboard. I find it enjoyable to listen to and usually listen without the sub on because the little speakers produce decent bass. I may alter the crossover design slightly to suit my needs to work better with my budget gear. All in all this is what it is all about.
ScottI like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D -
Very nice Sir ML Scott.
So have you modded those insignias yet? :P"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
I have a couple pair of those Insignia's as well, so I'd be interested in any thread related to updated crossovers, bracing, damping material ect. TIA2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

I didn't make a thread, but used this kit to upgrade a pair of Insignia's for my brother. The results were definitely worth the cost and time.
