I have Animals, Meddle, and DSoTM, 2011, and I like them all very much. DSoTM is the least like for me out of bunch. It just seems like this remaster is not put together well. The sounds run to close together.
Meddle is my favorite. A great album IMHO.SDA2BTL

Last night I picked up 2 more 2011 Pink Floyd remasters. Dark side of the Moon and Wish you were here. Very nice! +1 to Meddle. I A/B'd it to the original and there is no comparison. The original version sounds flat and lifeless compared to the new 2011 remaster. Very well done. I had a friend over at the time and he noticed the differences right away as well...
If any of you are on the fence about the Discovery box set, I say just do it. Of course, the better your system, the better they are going to sound, so ymmv. -
obscured by clouds, animals, wywh, atom heart mother, darkside, wall and momemtary lapse..in order imho, of how f---g good the remaster sounds...i should get me some meddle;)
