I ran into space limitations so I am going to order a csi A4 for $192. I hope this will be a signifigant upgrade over my CS10. I have the Pio-SC-35 being delivered tommorrow. I am looking to get the RTi A7's ASAP but most all of the places that had them near $400 a pop are sold out. My fault for waitinig. If anyone knows of any good place to look for the A7's please let me know.

Thanks

Personally just get the RTi8's which are the older verision of the A7's. They will work fine and will have no timbre match issues. Plus its 400 FOR THE PAIR. Or get a set of RTi12's for 600 (Black) OR 800 (Cherry). These would be equivalent to the A9's.

I think if you call them to order them you might even get the Club Polk discount on em.

    See my edited post above......

    Then read this:

The 8's will do everything the A7's would do. They do decent in 2 channel (better w/ a sub). The RTi 12's would really do well on that AVR and you may not feel the need for the sub unless your a bass head. I personally cant comment as I have the LSi15's in my setup.

I originally wanted the lsi15's and 6th ave has them cheap! $549 a piece however I ran out of space. If i got them the side woofer on both would be firing two inches from the wall.

I may go with the a5's if iget impatient or suck it up and pay retail

I would highly suggest getting the 15's despite not having space right now. They will only get more expensive since they are now discontinued. It wont hurt them to fire into the wall like that. Might actually help with their bass response (since you normally put a sub in the corner to get more gain anyway).

Then get the db840 car sub from Crutchfield when they have a buy one get one 1/2 off sale to replace the stock 8" woofer.

FYI I think the RTi10s are the older version of the A7s, not the RTi8s. If you're still going in that direction, the polk direct store has:

RTi12s (RTi A9) for $600 (black) and $800 (cherry) per pair and Black RTi A7s for $700 for the pair.
ALL BOXED UP for a while until I save up for a new place :(

    Home Theater:
    KEF Q900s / MIT Shotgun S3 / MIT CVT2 ICs | KEF Q600C | Polk FXi5 | BJC Wire | Signal / AQ ICs | Shunyata / Pangea PCs | Pioneer Elite SC 57 | Parasound NC2100 Pre | NAD M25 | Marantz SA8001 | Schiit Gungnir DAC | SB Touch

    2 Channel:
    Polk LSi9 (xo mods), Polk DSW MicroPro 2000 sub | NAD c375BEE | W4S DAC1 | SB Touch | Marantz SA-8001 | MIT AVt 2 | Kimber Hero / AQ / Signal ICs | Shunyata / Signal PCs

Yup, its got ICE power. I know of a couple fella's on this board running LSi's w/ the SC-35 and SC-37 with no problems. Plus with pre-outs if you felt the need to get a dedicated amp later on, you could.

let me clarify that the rti8 is not the predecessor to the rtia7 but to the rtia5. The rti10 would be the predecessor to the rtia7.

i have a set of RTi10 and LSi15. the LSi15 is not much bigger than the RTi10. the RTi10 has more balls/bass to it but the sound is sooooooo clear on the LSi15. i swear im hearing things i have never heard before in songs with them. 150% happy with them so far.

Have you modded the sub yet? If not add 25% more for a total of 175%

not yet....i placed the order for the db840 and mm840. wanted to try them both out and see how it goes.......then im gonna have the x overs on the LSi15/LSiC modded..... so at that point i should be at the 200% mark.

btw i only have a few days of burn in/break in on the whole LSi system. so im thinking the sound will get better
