I was wondering if anyone is on the preorder list at Amazon for this LP. I've got a pretty good original but it would be nice to have a mint copy.

I have pre-ordered the "Experience" version. One of many older releases that I have been concentrating on lately....must be on a nostalgia kick or something.

I have the 1975 lp version as well, back in the day my lps were promptly put on cassette as to keep my lps in mint condition, I have it on cd also, three formats of this one is enough for me. I think its a good listen however my least go to floyd, when Iam in a floyd kind of mood, I reach for Obscured By Clouds or Meddle.Enjoy your copy of WYWH

I have mine as well however, if there are raves about the newer pressing, I might be swayed to think of getting one.

I'm definitly getting the SACD. But I'm kinda intrested in the sound quality of the new LP. I still have my original copy that I bought. However, It's seen many parties. Last year I got a pretty decent pressing at my local Goodwill.

I would be one of those pre-orders! I'm probably going to need to have someone get stoned and puke on my couch just to relive and recreate the experience with listening to WYWH as a new release.

:-) I don't think even 3D BluRay can recreate that...

Just listened to the 2 channel mix briefly. Very clean sounding with extreme detail coming though with my Martin Logan speakers. To me it sounded brighter (not harsh) than the CD mix. Definately a keeper.

You'll enjoy it, has all the slam of the Mastersound cd and benefits from not getting
fatiguing ,on the top end, when played at higher volumes. (No loss of detail though)

The reissued LP is very nice sounding. Quiet and pop free, great bass and very detailed. The packaging is excellent as well. They did a nice job on these.

Even if you have other copies of WYWH I would get this copy to try out. It is great to here nothing between the tracks, the reissues are that dead silent.

That is something I have noticed with newer pressings. The silence between tracks is awesome. I don't ever remember my 70's and 80's records being that silent.

I didn't know this was out I have to get me some of that....

    First impressions.....

Neat packaging, but an odd size.....just saying.

The bass at the beginning of Welcome To The Machine just might loosen someone's fillings!

Certainly more there, there. Well worth the wait.

I've been comparing the two most of this evening and as usual Dave, you're right on the money. It's time to retire my Mastersound CD. I wonder what a completely mint copy is selling for these days?
