...I am amazed by these little suckers. My main speakers in my 2 channel system are Magnapan MG I's ( they were totally rebuilt) which I love dearly and will never part with. The ole Maggies rebuilt are a bargain. But, but, these DreamCatchers have the best mids, highs and soundstage that I thought would never be possible from such a mini speaker. Find myself listening to them through my Denon HT receiver (5 channel in stereo mode) system quite often. Not quite Maggies, but they are so small and with a small sub ( I use a MIRAGE OMNI S-8 POWERED SUBWOOFER) will fill a medium size room with AWESOME sound. If you get a chance, check them out. I am storing and maybe selling these for friends retiring South. Hope I get to keep them for awhile. The Dreamcatchers are the smallest bookshelves in the Totem lineup. Below is a Stereophile review of them.

Did I mention their size?

Dimensions: 11.3" (287mm) H by 5.1" (130mm) W by 7.1" (180mm) D. Weight: 5.5 lbs (2.5kg) each. Shipping weight: 16 lbs (7.3kg). - lock-mitered construction

Did you pick these up off of Craigslist this past weekend? If so, I was first in line, but something came up, so I said go to the next person. I hope that you are enjoying them.

They are great speakers , we have them and I sold 3 pairs of them a few months ago just by turning them on when we had a room full of people. They rule.

No, I have been storing these for friends for several months. It was a nice rainy day today, so I decided to hook them up. Very impressed. You don't know what you missed. For monitors they are great as is. If you want AWESOME sound in a medium room....add a subwoofer.

I was disappointed on missing out on them given the price they were listed at (the 5 piece surround set-up for $150). I guess somebody in the DC area is enjoying them.

WoW !. From article, they sell for $575.00 a pair. Hope you had a good excuse for not picking up on them. If in DC area you are welcome to audition them while they are here.

If they're that small, you better put a flashing light on them before you lose them in that place.

At the end of the review, RJR, says there the best thing hes ever heard music through,, thats how i read it,, They must be something special,
Not an Audiophile, just a dude who loves music, and decent gear to hear it with.

....Actually they do get lost as GG pointed out. They are AMAZING. See if you can find the "DreamCatchers" in this pic.

...Great to be retired. Ain't life GRAND. George knows.

Ain't the BEST I have heard....but very very special for their size. Awesome soundstage.... even in my ultimate CLUTTER.

    HINT:

..to the RIGHT of the 57 Chevy and has the LION KING sitting on top.

    Are these power hungry?

Years ago, I listened to a pair of Totem Mites (I think that was the model). They were small monitors but I was very impressed with the sound quality. I just couldn't afford them at the time.

Edit: I noticed the 4 ohms requirement.

...the DreamCatchers are 4 ohm, but my meagerly powered Denon AVR-882 - ole HT receiver does a reasonable job of driving them.

They have an AWESOME soundstage in stereo....I would love to hear a hometheatre setup with them.

    A beautiful speaker sonically.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I live in Arlington and work in DC. I would love to hear them.

I was alone with my daughter that day and a three year old does not mix well with meeting a stranger off Craigslist. I talked to the guy who was really nice but he needed to sell them that day, so I had to pass. Also, I really need to sell some stuff before I buy anything more. I would have loved to hear them next to my LSi7s (sadly probably one of the things that needs to go).

....I had a pair of LSI 9's stored here last year. The 9's had a similar sound with much more bass. I am too ole to retain memory of sound, but . Loved the mids and highs in both. With a sub....it's a toss up. Size and soundstage goes to "DREAMcatchers" With a name like that, how can you lose????
