I am going to send a sample to see what these cats can do for us on tweeter gaskets.
Now i have 2 styles here. The oval ID and the round ID with cutouts where the plugs set in to the speaker housing.
is there a preference?
The round one isn't as flimsy as the old oval style but not sure if it will work for everyone.
Feedback please.

Not sure which is which, but if I had to guess I need the flimsy oval type. Pics?

Right now I've got 2x SL2000. Those will soon be replaced with 2x either RD0194-1 or RD0198-1 depending on what I manage to assemble towards a TL crossover. I guess the next question I need to ask is, "between the oval and round ID, which one makes more sense for what tweeters?" Since I can't answer that second question, I can't really give a useful opinion on your first question.
    Current polk speakers:
    Family room 5.1: TC265i R/L, VM10 Center, RC65i surrounds (couldn't match the TCs)
Basement non-dedicated 7.1 HT: SDA-CRS+ R/L, 255c-LS Center, LSiFX surrounds, RC80i in-ceiling rear surround, plus Wharfedale 12" sub (some day I'll get around to building 15" F-20 sub).

IF this works out they will fit PLASTIC faceplate tweets.
    SL2000
    SL3000
    and RDO's
they won't fit the 1000's or Peer's due to a size difference in the plate as well as the position of the connecting tabs.

I suspect that these gaskets will be better than Armacell. I am correct in this assumption??

Currently my tweeters are Mortited. I do have some Armacell sitting around since I just did the Armacell thing w/the mid drivers and the passive while installing Larrys Rings.

It's probably a good thing that these aren't showing up immediately...it gives me a chance to figure out when I'm going to dismantle my speakers for these, MW gaskets, Larry's rings...and hopefully more.

Many thanks to brgman, TFLF, gimpod, DK, and the others here who keep coming up with great ways to help folks like me who might otherwise be on the fence about tweaking a "perfectly good" pair of 25-year-old speakers...

I will vote for this one: "round ID with cutouts where the plugs set in to the speaker housing" as I believe that's the one most (if not all) SDA's use. Thanks again.
