I just discovered this a few months ago and let me tell you, it works wonders. So much better than expensive Jet Dry type cleaners. Just 1/2 cup or so every few cycles and the dishes come out looking brand new.

I use apple cider vinegar with every load. Gets rid of the lime deposits on the dishes (hard water for me). Super cheap and makes the apartment smell good too

We use vinegar to run cycles through the washer, dishwasher, and to clean our floors because of our dogs....most chemicals especially swiffer are bad for pets.

We recently got out some set-in stains in our carpets with a vinegar mix. I guess it's a flicking wonder drug.

We use swiffer and have dogs so I went researching your claim. Seems to be a hoax unless you have some official information.

Not intended to start a debate, but we lost our last boxer to cancer at 8 yrs old (he started feeling sick on Tues. and past on Sat.) and he had it bad in all organs and we were absolutely crushed...we lived in an old home in Galveston built in the 20's till Hurricane Ike, the whole neighbor being historic there was lead paint, asbestos roofs, and no telling what else in soils.

    Moved to League City

Wife and I purchased 2 more boxers which we know are notorius for cancer and short lives to go as organic as possible with cleaners, feed, fertilizers, and pesticides as much as possible so when their time comes we know we did our best with our 4 legged loved ones.....I repeat this is not posted for a debate but a choice we made.

Came across this also but does not change our decisions

I use vinegar mixed with a little dishwashing soap to kill weeds.
Spray it on in the morning & let the sun bake the weeds to a krisp,
    works like a charm!

I've been doing this for years, my grandma taught me about it, put in the coffee maker and the clothes washer too, anything that has hard water going through it on a regular basis.

Lot's of health benefits too, I think the good rice vinegars are better for balancing you body PH than apple cider tho. http://altmedicine.about.com/od/applecidervinegardiet/a/applecidervineg.htm

1 part vinegar to 4 parts water will do wonders to clean the water deposits off
a boat. No scrubbing needed. Just brush it on and presto.

Using it in the dishwasher will get your dishes uber-shinny. When I first did it with my dishes I used a full cup, now just half or less once in a while.

Be careful though, if you have sensitive glassware with decals or designs on them it may damage them.

Yep, like txcoastal1 said, use white vinegar, I use 1 cup with the water level set on low, with it empty.

With a new pair of black jeans use 2 cups to 'set' the color on the first wash.
