.....ice hockey is the team sport of choice for many Russian men, more so than football.

    Horrible trajedy.
Flying on a Russian airliner is about as safe as a $3 hooker.

Lighten up, it's a fact that they have huge safety issues. Dave King noted today that was his biggest fear when he spent his time over there and suggest as such to Mc Crimmon before he went over.

News reports are saying that they are going to rebuild the team. The other khl teams are going to volunteer 3 players. It surely is a sad day for hockey.

Lighten up??? I am watching the requiem evening right now in Minsk and crying. Where in such tragedy did you find anything light? Have some respect for the families and friends instead of bullsh*tting on the topics like this.

You apparently glossed over the part where I said it was a trajedy.Sorry if the facts about their dismal air safety record wasn't politically correct enough for you.

Great video of the service they held where the game was to be played, not one single ticket was returned for a refund, http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Video-Dynamo-Minsk-8217-s-hockey-funeral-for-L?urn=nhl-wp12157

I've never been much of a hockey fan, but this is a tragedy to me anyway. They did a very nice memorial for their friends.
