    Tuan,
Do you have a picture of those Klipsch chorus or cornwalls, you lucked up on at good will, with one sticking out of your trunk. That would show your hobby skills at finding great things and how to get your BIG finds home.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Wow, is it just me that thinks you're putting out a lot of personal business on a public forum? I guess I'm just from a different era. Good luck to you and yours.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

    This is fine.....

I have a sister that rides an emotional rollercoaster for all the world to see and I've had to delete her from FB because it's exhausting trying to get her to tone it down. I really don't give a damn that you found inspiration in yet ANOTHER picture you took of the mountains, your 500th song quote, etc.....

nguyen is venting and explaining his absense, no biggie. If he's comfortable with it that's all that matters.

Glad to hear things are going good for you.
If you want to make you parents really happy, get a few girls to visit your parents with you and tell mom and dad you're converting to Mormon and these are going to be your wives.

    Decal,

this is how we are in this forum. This is not the Klipsch or Audioholics forum. While we are very technical here, we also are a bit of a family. I have never been on a forum so accepting of any and everyone. I am proud to say I am a Polkie from now and forever. If you were to come to us with your problems, I guarantee that everyone will give you their support and stand behind your decisions, or give you some good advice. I don't think it's really out of place here. We have stood by our members through thick and thin...death and birth. Polkie for life.

And on that note - my dad isn't so bad. He just has to enforce my mom when she's around. When she's not, he's just fine. I went to lunch with him and my brother today. I gave him my Pioneer Elite DV-59AVi universal player last week (for free, no doubt). I'm moving to a new house 2 blocks from them, so definitely I am keeping that olive branch held out.

Thank you for your support Tony, you have stood by me this whole time along with Club Polk. I am bringing the Boston M60's with me to the new house, and they will have a special place powered by an Adcom amp.

Oh yeah - we got approved for the loan on the new house, and have acquired tenants for the old house beginning mid-late October. I will close on the new house in Edmond, OK next Friday. It will be nice having someone else pay into the equity for the old home. The new home is technically smaller by 100 sq ft, but it's a better lay out, without a wasted room. We are doing our blue tape walk tomorrow, and Monday. I think I will be leaving the 100" screen at the old home or selling it. I will take the proceeds and purchase the 70" Sharp LED LCD. I set one up last week and was blow away by the black level and colors. It is by far the best Sharp I have ever seen. I think 70-inches is more than enough, and will probably be the biggest in the neighborhood. That is unless someone gets a 92" Mitsubishi....

I will keep you guys updated. I'm calling my mom sometime this weekend, and will see if we can patch things up. I'm tired of BS.

Didn't say you had to share, just saying that's how people are here. You are entitled to your way, but I'll share mine as many others before me.

Anyways, update - I am closing on the house Friday. Means I will have to pick and choose carefully. I am selling off a good chunk of my random audio warez. The Klipsch setup is probably going bye-bye.

So... we moved into the new house...it's almost been a month and we still have not unpacked. We have been working like mad trying to prepare the old house for the new renters.

I sold off my front projector setup, and my spare projector. I sold my 40" Sony XBR4 to my boss, and have just about all of my audio equipment from the old house for sale. The Klipsch ForteIIs, KG4 center, KG1.5 rears...all for sale. I think I may go with all Polk again with the CS250 center (or 350 if i can find one), RT55 for mains, and RT F/X for rears with my trust old PSW150 subwoofer. The new house only has one living room and it's smaller than the last house. More sqft is spread to the bedrooms, kitchen, and this house has a usable dining area. Oh, and bigger bathrooms. As such I've had to downsize my audio equipment and will be sticking to one main system.

I just picked up an Elite SC-37 for SUPER cheap, so that will replace the Onkyo NR807 (up for sale too). The HK AVR254 that was in the bedroom? Probably for sale as well unless I decide to get the unpowered soundbar. I plan on doing a simple soundbar in the bedroom honestly, no more wires all over and I really don't want to wire it for surround since we never used surround anyways.

Since we only have one living room now, selling off the XBR4 was a good thing, I still have my Samsung 46" LCD, and Samsung 46" LED that we are using. Ultimately I will sell the LCD and purchase a much larger LED for the living room. I think tomorrow will be the first day we get to unpack, FINALLY. So busy.

In other news, I called my mom last week to see if we could work something out. I asked her what we could do to mend things and she basically told me "I no longer have time for you, this is my time". It went on like that for two hours and nothing came of it other than her insulting me, my religion (her religion...), and my lifestyle. So I'm done with it. I held out the olive branch and she lit it on fire. I will not let it bother me, but I did try.
