I saw The Rolling Stones about 3 yrs ago or so and they were awesome. Mick Jagger has more energy than almost any other performer half his age. They arent considered one of the best rock and roll bands of all time for nothing. If you get a chance run, do not walk. I also saw them in 1981 which was amazing, however the last time I expected a big drop off in ability etc. I was wrong, they were as good as ever.

I saw them in 1981 too, in Philly. Where did you see them?

Having seen Zep, the Who, Stones, ELO, Yes, ELP, Alice Cooper, REO, the Nug, Journey, Santana and my girls, Heart, I've seen most of the best at their peak... in the 70's and 60's, the only ones I miss are dead :frown:

    Janis
    Jimi
    Doors
    Roy Orbison
    Buddy Holly

Have to add that Frankie Goes to Hollywood with Berlin in the 80's wrecked my last good nerve  and Culture Club as well, don't laugh, it was quite the show with Helen Terry front and center

See Rush and Garth Brooks, but the Rush tickets would have set me back 500bucks and a similar story for Garth. The last time I saw Garth, I paid twenty bucks for SECOND ROW CENTER!

Whats the story behind Rush and 500 bucks, was that for a pair of tickets or half a dozen? We saw Rush off the Snakes and Arrows Tour for $130 a pair.

You from the Quad cities Cody? Ive seen quite a few shows at the mark in Moline myself. If you are from the QCA dont forget tonight at the rib fest its the Gin Blossoms, and tommorrow its Blues Traveler.

West Liberty. I saw Kenny Wayne Shepard at rib fest one year, that man can shred. I'm in NC now, I miss IA at times, but I really won't miss it the month of August, or the whole winter. Good luck with that.

Radiohead and Modest Mouse for me. My problem is that ticket prices are always too damn expensive to justify going to concerts anymore.

It's not the Who any more and it definitely wouldn't be the Beatles.
