Need some suggestion on buying cables for my Polk Rti100 speakers I got from CC.

Cheap but good quality, I s there a real diff between Monster and other kind of cables, apart from being expensive.

How about those clearance cables from www.Partsexpress.com?

Thanks in advance

cables should be the last step to a good system, and I wouldnt spend much money on them at your stage, the biggest thing would probably be the gauge (go for 12). Monster cables low level cables (read: XP etc.) are just twisted copper like everyone elses. As you start getting higher up in price and technology actually becomes an issue, then thats a different story. I doubt you will hear a difference between monsters low level cables and a cable of comparable gauge. I didnt look, but Im guessing whatever you picked out at PE is perfectly fine.

Thats a good comment, buy something you are comfortable with now, worry about cable technology later.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

The Rti100's would benifit from using Monstercable MCX Bi wires. This is a great affordabe prebuilt cables. They sound pretty good.Your looking like 90 bucks.
I owned the older models rt1000p's and used MCX.Then I swapped out for Monstercable M1.4s bi wires and man did they sound good.Depending on length your looking at 250.00 for 10's and 300.00 for 15's.

But Mantis, you can't bi-wire the 100s! You should know that by now, or do i have to sic you know who on you?

Seriously, I used to also have the 1000s, and when I bi wired them, i could tell an improvement in the sound, and I was just using cheap Home Depot 12 guage.

I use Canare Star Quad 4s11. If you do a search on the web you will find places that sell them. You can either build them yourself or buy from someplace that builds them for you.
