It looks like the outskirts of the storm is near where I live, so I'm not all that worried. The eye looks to be right at the coast, so I can see the NC coast just being dimolished...completely. But the outskirts look to be around my area, I guess we will have to see. There is still that worry of Tornados and such. We have no preperations though. We have been through all this before, however this is twice that of Hugo (sp) I'm afraid, from what I have been told. I guess we'll have to take it as it comes...

I'm honestly hoping the current shifts this thing up north if anything....

As i'm sure the Northerns are wishing it just tromples the south ;)

Hopefully it'll just miss us all, but I doubt it's going to happen that way...

WOW, this thing is turning our way. Now they are projecting it to hit the NC coast and come straight up the Chesapeake Bay to DC, Baltimore and onward north.

Looks like it's time to start making some preparations for a hit from this thing!

Trey, if you, Dad and your family are indeed the first ones in here to be hit with it...best wishes to all of you. It's still 2-3 days out, so you never know what this thing will do.

Dorokusai, Madmax, ATC and the Polk Audio crew...batten down the hatches boys! Maybe if we build a wall with our SDA's, it might bounce off of them and go back out to sea!

This storm will have to turn out of their projected course about 200 miles to really cause us damage. We will get about 40-50 mph wind, heavy rain for 2 or so days but nothing dangerous. IF it follows their projected route...

The NC coast will be dimolished however...

Uh, this is just the first big storm for us East Coasters....aside from some ice early this year, wtf is everybody thinking prayers for? Sheesh, we have seen bad weather before, East Coast does not mean West Virginia. The omnipotent Fox channel will probably be broadcasting procedures to prepare to die soon, so OMG run for the Appalachians people!

Here in Baltimore it started to rain about 2:00. Raining hard right now and winds picking up a bit, but it'll get worse late tonight into the morning as it moves up.

The worst thing may very well be the combination of this thing moving in along with high tide at the same time. High tide is expected at 2 am and thats when the hurricane will be peaking around here. Luckily, i'm far enough away from the water that it won't affect me.

    We'll see about the wind.

    Will report back later.

Baltimore is expecting the worst of it around 2-4 am.

No trees down yet that I can see. Winds and rain have picked up some. Hang in there F1nut!

Anybody watch the goofball reporters on Weather Channel? 2 weather reporters were demonstrating how strong the winds were in between buildings down in NC. One big gust came in and blew this dude several feet away and right on his arse! Got it on camera and everything. Funny as hell! :D

This other weather channel reporter and cameraman decided to brave going down on the beach. Oh yeah, they were not paying attention and a big wave came up and swept them both off their feet! In the water went the camera!

On the local station here, this dude was hanging on to a rail and decided to say "We have a hurricane situation." He almost fail straight on his butt. It was hilarious, I am still laughing about it...

Winds are slowing, and picking up periodically, nothing major. Not near enough to knock something over.....hopefully it stays that way
