To all members thinking about going to Polkfest

I am offering a ride down to Polkfest from the NYC Metro Area to Florida. My Mom said she would let me use her Corvette so I can bring one person. If anyone is interested, please contact me.

I would like to be upfront and state that the reason I am doing this is to split the cost of going down to Polkfest. It would be a stretch to drive down by myself, which I am afraid I may not be able to do.

I think that going half half on fuel and other expenses (hotel) is fair. If anyone has a problem with this, or if this post is against Forum Rules, feel free to remove this thread.

To all members, I'm offering a ride down to Polkfest in my Lightning. I can fit 9 of you schlubs stacked neatly in the bed. You must be small than 6 feet 5 inches tall. No, you can not ride in the cab with me. Tough nuggies if you're hot and the droning engine sound is making you nauseous. I don't care if the ride is bumpy either and no I won't slow down. If I hear any one of you complaining, we will take every exit ramp sideways. You will be expected to chip in for gas and a hotel room for me. What? You already have a bed!

    So who's game?

I'm offering a ride in the car with A/C and some tunes. It won't be hot in the Corvette because the air conditioning is really cold on this car... sound system is pretty good also...

Those who have been to my place know I am clean and organized. Those who don't, well, I've been told the pictures don't do it justice: (I'm not a slob by any means, this is coming from someone who's worked at a Summer Camp)

If Ed is coming down for PF...I will NOT be there. I will be renting a van and heading to NYC for a quick smash'n'grab.

    I'm driving.

I'd like to get there in one piece. Seriously.

Face and Polrbehr have seen my Maxima and the C6.

No accidents. Been driving since I was 16, and would like to keep it that way.

If someone wants to buy the chain, I can probably tow the Corvette at 120. Even if Captain Sensible has both feet on the brake pedal.

I certainly hope that you are never in a situation where YOU are the one driving with your family, wife in the front and child in the back, and some jerk flying down the road at 100+ loses control.
