How to reset Micropro subwoofer w/o remote?

My Polk DSW Micropro 2000 subwoofer stopped responding to remote control sometime ago. I have got a new remote control from POLK (excellent customer service), but it still does not work. I opened the passive woofer and checked the cable connection, and all seemed to be in good shape. My universal remote can learn from the new remote control, so it might because a defective IR receiver inside the cabin.
Anyway, the subwoofer itself has been working fine, so I did not really bother with the remote until I moved last month. My new place (25'x19') is much bigger than before (15'x14'), so desperately need to recalibrate my subwoofer, or at least do a reset. From the manual, it looks like this is impossible without a working remote. I also tried a IR repeater on the IR port on the back without any success.
Does anybody know a way to reset the subwoofer without a remote? I have done a lot research on the web without answer. Thanks in advance for your help.

I got a answer from Polk Audi customer service representative, and I'd like to share the information here:
It is really easy! Unplug the power cord for 24 hours, the amplifier will reset itself.
