New SurroundBar - HELP!

I just bought a Samsung 8000/55" - great TV, but when I hook up my soundbar, the sound is poor. I changed sound to external speakers...What am I doing wrong/ HELP! BTW - it a Polk SurroundBar, 3000.

    Return it and buy the SB6000. That model is awful.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
