I used 3M spray adhesive on the back of the foam when I installed it in my Polk cabinets. Let it tack up for a minute, and you won't be able to pull it off.

Beautiful work and thanks so much for the visual documentation. Helps those of us who have to 'see' things to know them.
My only question is these were blade/blade CRS+?
With the interconnect becoming a single connection, is that why there is an additional attachment to the negative speaker terminal? I am trying to picture the cable construction.
Just trying to get my learn on. And thanks for the write up.

Nathan - I believe these started off as pin/blade. The single conductor of the pin/blade connector can be replaced with a single speaker cable running between the new SDA binding post on either speaker (with a common ground amplifier). The reason for the extra connection to the negative speaker terminal is that Larry is using an AI-1 (Dreadnaught) connection with an isolation transformer that sits between the two channels. This type of connection is generally used with pin-blade SDA's and non-common ground amps, although lately several of us have moved to using the Dreadnaught even with common ground amps. So each side of the isolation transformer gets connected back to the speakers ground post.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. If I am ever back in the real world, 3.5 years and counting, and not surrounded by savages i will have to see one (Dreadnaught) in person to get a feel for it. Thanks again,
    Nathan
