RT30000P Right side barely audible

Got RT3000Ps from a friend hooked them up and the right side is barely audible. Checked connections and setting both side are good and identical. He is saying that tweeter on the right side is busted which is not a big deal if that's the case but I don't know if that would make right side so quiet. Also my receiver usually turns off when there is something funny going on with the system, and it did it few times if I favor right side.
Does anyone know what this could be? and is new tweeter the solution?

Welcome to Club Polk, I'm sure we can help you with the problem. I find it is always best to be as methodical as you can in troubleshooting a problem. The first step would be to swap the speaker connections at the back of the receiver. This will determine if you have a speaker problem or a receiver problem.
