I just bought a 5ch amp and been looking for IC's. not looking to spend a fortune on them though. I seen these on monoprice http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10236&cs_id=1023603&p_id=2682&seq=1&format=2
I figured i would buy 5 of them and that should be fine. And yes i need the length between 10-12 ft. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I checked those both out but unfortunately i cant afford those. Do you think the ones from monoprice will work?

Absolutely no harm in starting out with monoprice if thats what your budget will allow. I did that myself... There's a lot of good deals when you're ready to upgrade, both here and on audiogon among other places...

Thats probably gonna do order those from monoprice. i cant justify spending that much money on IC's IMO.

DJ, MonoPrice is the right place, but there's no need to use unnecessarily thick and stiff RG6 at audio frequencies. Satellite TV in from the dish is a different matter. I 've used these in various lengths for several years and they do this very simple job as well as it can be done. Five of them at $1.67 each is all you need and they have the benefit of being thinner and more flexible.

Since you want to keep it within a certain budget DJ, Monoprice looks like your best bet. I'd go with John's suggestions. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Do you think 10-12 feet will cause some sort of problem?

I'd pick Radio Shack, Belkin, or just about anything else over Monorprice. Besides sounding awful, they had a very tight grip which can damage equipment. The only other brand I found just as awful was AR(Acoustic Research).

No i just have a huge entertainment center and the only place the amp would fit is that far from the receiver. they are actually about 7 feet apart i just wanted eough slack to be able to pull the amp out so i guess 10ft should do. Thanks for the advice guys.

Seeing that the amp will be farther away, have you given any thought to the speaker cable that will also need to be that much further ? Just asking is all.

I'd at least use these Belkin PureAV's, they're only $12 a pair with free shipping and 12' length. Im sure you can find em even cheaper if you shop around. I thought i'd take the cheap route for interconnects but didn't realize how much I was missing.
