Westom, were you fired from Cuttler-Hammer, Hubbell, Sola or Leviton etc sometime in past years? For some strange reason I am interested in why you are on a jihad to spread your ideas.

SPAM! Mods, This poster has participated in only 3 discussions here at CP over the past 2 years and they are all related to surge protection (proclaiming they are useless and that members should adhere to his notion of whole house protection). He is known on other sites also as westom but aslo as w_tom and his lenghty speech is the same everywhere coming like some sort of marketting spill. You might want to close this discussion as the OP clearly stated he acquired what he needed.

Nothing new really, we all know the competeing tech in power conditioners, and what mov's can and can't do.
I just find it funny, this crusade to save us....from ourselves. I also find it funny not a mention about the other aspects of what a power conditioner does aside from actual surge surpression. Such as the video side, line noise. If you have a whole house PC device, cool, rock on, but how about all the other devices on that same line you would find in a normal household. Say a fridge...while that line is grounded by whatever at the breaker box, how about the noise introduced to that line everytime that fridge kicks on ? What does a whole house surge surpressor do for that ?

Come on westom, haven't you embarrassed yourself enough? Take what little dignity you might have left and close the door behind you on your way out.
