I bought a used power supply for my daughters laptop computer. The old one quit working. The computer works fine with this supply. My question is, the old supply was rated at 18.5 vdc @ 90 watts, the new one is 19.0 vdc @ 135 watts. There must be a tolerance for input voltage for computers. Does any one see any harm from using this replacement supply? Thanks for any help!

Should not be any harm to the computer. That power supply will work in charging the higher rated 9hr batteries, so you should be good.

No issue whatsoever as .5v will not make any difference (you have a voltage tolerance less than 10% and is NO issue). The greater power rating means the power supply will endure more current draw then the old one therefore this power supply will more likely last longer.

The reasoning for the change is so they can have the same power supply for laptops, and docks. (Also the newer 17" laptops need the extra juice). It was a cost thing, making everything a little better was cheaper than making 3 different ones just so they had a cheaper version.
