SDA2BTL Modded interest?

I am thinking of selling a very nice pair of SDA2B's that have Ben's modded xovers,Larry's rings,and 194's installed.These are pin/blade version but does not come with a cable.I didn't get one when i bought them and i use a Ben made I/C that i use with all my SDA's.
These are the light wood color and aside from a couple tiny dings (for lack of a better term) they are mint.
I modded these prior to picking up some 2.3tl's.Now i have those plus modded 3.1TL's and RTA15TLs and don't have a place for these any longer.
I am asking $650.No shipping but i plan on going to the Capitalfest next weekend and could bring them along for someone who wants them.

I have them wrapped up in the basement and do not want to pull them out for pics unless i have serious interest.

    Awesome deal on the often unloved but certainly sweet SDA. This is the sleeper model....and modded?! C'mon.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Just a question for clarification of your listing. You're calling these 2BTL's, but you're saying they have rdo-194's. Is that accurate? I would think that you would have used rdo-198's if you did the TL mod to these 2b's. Can you clarify please? I'm not in the market for these, but thought other readers might be confused on this one.

    Some nice speakers there. I have an untouched set of originals so these have the upgrades and will be that much 'smoother', pleasing. And as far as I am concerned unless you have a monster listening room SDA 2Bs will be all the SDA you'll ever need; they provide the 'experience' and if you like that, then you can move up to 1Cs, after that it's just overkill unless you have some 'real' space to house the Big Boys! Too many here don't have that space so one has to wonder if they're not just suffering from the 'bigger is better syndrome'. lol

    I agree. I had modded 2B's, then upgraded to 1C's. I don't have a very large room, and all I can say is that the 2B's definitely hold their own to the 1C's. The 1C's definitely have a larger sound, but they use the 194's, not the 198's, and have the same size PR. I'd say 2B's get you 90% of what you get from 1C's, for less money, and although I never tested this, I'd imagine they're not as power hungry as the 1C's. Fantastic speakers, someone will end up very happy with them.

    In keeping with Polk's apparent practice of using up old parts from previous model runs, some of the first SDA 1C's used the same cabinet style (with wood toned vinyl or wood veneer) as the SDA 1B as well as the blade/blade interconnect.     I think that the SDA 1C and SDA 2B "studio" versions were introduced to resolve both an economic and an ethical problem. I don't know what the cost of the 1B and 2A cabinets were, but I do know that the replacement cost of an SDA 1C cabinet was $700. I know because I wanted to replace my 1B cabinets with 1C cabinets. Polk customer service advised me that it would make more sense to sell the 1B's and buy a pair of 1C's. I eventually remodeled the 1B cabinets in the style of the 1C's.

    Putting 4th generation parts in the 3rd generation cabinets presented an ethical problem because one of the performance features of the 4th generation SDA's was improved cabinet structure. Cladding the unused 3rd generation SDA 1B and SDA 2A cabinets in black vinyl, installing 4th generation parts and offering them as "studio" versions resolved both the economic and ethical issues.
