Well, if you want an older pre-amp that doesn't have modern audio decoders... -
A "no" would have been good. Im kinda new at this HT stuff, and your posts are kind of smartass! Thanks for the help anywayFronts: rti12

I didn't mean to be. How about a more recent Yamaha model in the RX-V line that does have pre-outs? Then you could add an amp as suggested. -
I bought this whole system for 100. I don'tt think i did to bad? Eventually i am going to upgrade to a Denon avr1912.Fronts: rti12

@stogs...some of the old timers in here really do know a lot about audio gear and i have pick up some great tips from them.Marantz are good AV, but that is a older one and it would not decode the True-HD or Master Audio.I think some people just forget they started out not knowing about audio too.Even the old timers.some are just set in there ways.i don't think they mean any harm. But yes some are not too friendly in here..Testing

Wait a minute... you think my posts were kind of smartass? Because I pointed out that you were wrong about having pre-outs and because I pointed out that you were looking at an older pre-amp (which isn't necessarily a bad thing)?? Relax, dude.
Anyhow, welcome to Club Polk! Read and ask. We'll all learn a lot. -

$100 for all that? You didn't do bad by any measure. -

H9 didn't say anything wrong besides he stated his opinion. Also comparing 1 class A amp to an emo with differerent speakers in a different room ect is really not comparing anything as everything affects the sound. Gear, room, speakers, ect.
No one is being a wise guy besides the few that then wanted to call out H9 as well as then say that the OP needed 500K amps to run.
Some of you need to get your head checked. audiocr381ve just likes to think everyone is out to get him when he does it to himself.
