A high of 81 a low of 58...just like the state motto: The way life should be (for once)!!

This has been a horrible summer full of overcast and rainy days one after another, one week after another.

We've got a good one today so I'm out! When I first moved up here a couple of decades ago we had some 'wonderful' summers full of days like this one. Now we still have crappy black ice winters and rainy everything else. May have to change the state's motto.

    But not today!

We're in a bit of a cooling trend, it's only 110 right now.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

It was 94 today. A good day for a hike in the mountains. Seems like most everone else was at the lakes. It was 15 degrees cooler up around 6,000 ft and only saw one other person on the trail (about 10 miles). Deer and turkey at the lower elvations and a black racer up on top...but very few people. Just the way I like it.

No kidding! Glad I got a super early start on the yard work today. Finished by noon. It was smokin' this afternoon, though.

The NFS and Pima County closed all of our high-elevation hiking respites due to the fire danger that steveinaz is all too familiar with.....
