Worried about my dog Buddy...

The doc said it feels mostly like inflamed muscle - he feels there may have been a fractured bone that healed improperly or grew new bone over the old bone...
Or it could be as simple as a bite or as serious as cancer....
So basically the medicine will help diagnose it. If it goes away with the medicine it was most likely just a bite- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Keeping my fingers crossed for 'simple':redface:I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Fingers crossed, Good luck Buddy,

Thanks guys!
I checked his leg this morning and the bump, whatever it is/was has reduced significantly in size - so I think this may be a score for the home team!
Thank god!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Thats good. Hopefully it will keep reducing in size and your dog will continue to live a long happy life with you.Fronts: Monitor 20s

I am going to go with the idea that my dog was bit by a snake...
The wound is really bad now - he is going to the vet tomorrow...
The spot is open and I can move around the flesh and there is two holes about a 1/2" or less apart that go deep...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
You're probably right about the snake bite. Wishing the best for Buddy.

Larger dogs are resiliant to snake bite...my uncle's labs have been bitten several times...the problem is Buddy is iritating it. With rattlesnake bite there is usually swelling up into the shoulder, copper heads have milder venom less swelling....anyway good luck2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures

Trey,, if you can find an "old school" pharmacy,,chances are the Pharmacist may be able to make a salve for your dog--thats what I used to do--keep in mind, old school.Best of luck.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I have been cleaning it with some stuff the Vet gave me for his original wound - it looks a bit better today - no bigger, no worse, cleaner and less fleshy...
So - cleaned it again tonight and bandaged him back up- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
That sucks, hate to hear he was bit by a snake.
Just keep doing what your doing and he should be fine.
Prayers for your puppy. -
