I got the itch and want to try the Mono Block route and have a pair of LSi15s that I want to power. My system is used both for HT and 2 channel listening. Can anyone recommend me a make and model?

I want to spend around 1200. Thanks!

I am using a pair of Wyred 4 Sound SX-1000. Absolutely love what they do for my LSi 15's. Bit more than you are looking to spend, but you may want to check out their website and take a look.

Even their stereo amps are dual mono, for $1200 he should have no trouble finding a used ST-500.

For $899.00 per mono , thats a killer deal if they perform like the spec's suggest they would. I'd like to try a et of these out myself.

Don't hesitate to go with W4S amps. My ST-1000 is just too perfect for my LSi15 speakers; pairing it with the W4S DAC-2 produced such a warm tone and very smooth high end. I got it through a great Audiogon deal, and I'm kinda lucky it also included the Kimber Kable silver wiring throughout & WBT bindings upgrade even though the seller did not list it that way

    Budget, entry level, it doesn't.

If you must, try them both and see how they sound to you with your ears, in your rig with your music.

Still looking for an amp, I may have something in your price range, and I'm local.
