The fire jumped into the South end of Ft. Huachuca. This video was made about 20 minutes ago from our driveway. Buffalo Soldier Trail is closed past 7th Street:

    Did I hear that correctly: " 3/4 of a mile away" ?

Dammmm ! Like you said, most houses have rock/gravel yards, but ...... are neighbors hosing down their roofs, etc ?

Hot Damn! I pray for you all in Arizona.

It's the crazy wind that's been blowing in the desert for a couple of days now.

Stay safe for you and family, a house can be always rebuilt if needed. I like the fact most yards are gravel not like here in Florida where wild fires can and have burnt down homes.

If you haven't already, I'd take a video of everything in that house you own and email it to yourself. It's a good idea for EVERYONE to do this in case you get burglarized/home burns down, etc. When it comes to it, it's hard to remember every little thing that you own!

Good luck...hopefully that's the closest you'll see that fire!

I've been watching this on the news Steve, time to get out bro! You can hear how bad the wind is on your video, that thing has a mind of it's own, jumping all over the place, miles away from the fire line, please take care! Stuff is just stuff, you and Bev are not replaceable!!!

We're back home. We were evacuated 5 minutes after that video---it was like freakin armageddon. The entire neighborhood was gray with smoke---I barely made it to the truck. Crazy ****.

All is well now, the house is fine and the "antelope fire" has been contained.

Thank you all for your well wishes, your thoughts and your prayers--It means more than Bev & I can express.

    God Bless.

Thanks all. Apparently the Antelope Fire was NOT caused by the Monument, but had some other source. As soon as it broke out, they hammered it hard and quickly knowing how close it was to large sub-divisions.

Arizona has never seen a fire like this so close to a population center, tommorrow is gonna be much, much worse, gust up to 50mph in Tucson, close to tropical storm gusts down your way Steve, ya'll got lucky with some of the best firefighters in the biz yesterday, God Bless them!! Don't let your guard down.

That fire was started by a bulldozer shovel hitting a rock making a fire line, so you just never know....not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but you know what I'm sayin', offence is the best defence. I know I-Sig and riverrat have your back, I can store some things at my place if you need as well, take care!

This fire has already claimed twice as many homes as the nearly 500,000 acre Wallow fire. Unreal.

Thanks Craig, appreciate the support--I heard about the bulldozer situation as well.
