Just picked these up from Troy.

I experienced them - they sound pretty freakin sweet for the money they can be had for. Very nice smooth sound - great for those folks who like lower volume listening (they can still get down to business) but I feel they excel really really well at low volume listening and just are a treat to experience.

I am going to do $250.00 + shipping for Polkies.

This ad will be good for 2 weeks, after which they will be moved to Audiogon.

The speakers are basically mint - new socks... the stands show some wear but overall I would rate them a 8.5/10.

If the next guy decides to ship there will be a $50.00 packaging supplies fee. I like to use 2" thick foam that has a plastic layer on each side that is pretty freakin tough and it is 25 a sheet and it will take two sheets to fully package these.

Will post pics soon.

Thanks! :)

EDIT: I will not take "dibs" on these. I also will not drive outside of a 45 minute window to deliver these. At 250 + the shipping charges they are an incredible deal from what I have seen elsewhere especially in this condition!

    Thanks

This is a good representation of how I like to pack larger speakers --

    Hmmm...

Give me 24 hours and I can get you a quote -

From PREVIOUS shipping experience I would guess 65 per speaker + the 50 in packaging...

I can attest to his shipping capabilities. Actually pro shippers can take a lesson from him on how to pack a large item!

Trey, can you post some pictures and also actual dimensions when they are on stands? I am very interested. No need to deliver, I can pick them up as you are only about 45 min away.

Also, are the "socks" easy to remove and take pictures of the drivers? I was wondering if these have rubber surrounds or foam that is suspect to rot.

    Thanks!
    Eric.

    16 x 39.75 x 10.25 inches + 7 inches or so

    The drivers use rubber surrounds

The sock is stapled in place (see pics)

Interesting picture of that mid-range driver. The review I read at Stereophile said the 2Ci uses a updated flat surround mid. Are we sure these are 2Ci's?

its a ci. stock. the other way to also tell is the sn i believe will have a ci in it. but from the pics and the stands its a ci.

BTW for the price he is selling them, that was basically almost the cost of the stands alone!!

Is your definition of mint my definition of mint? Aside from the stands issue is there any flaws on the wood?

I have not noted any flaws in the wood.

I will take pics of both tops - and the bottoms for you tonight...

And the stands are still a 6.5/10 easy

The speakers are in the same condition as they left Troys - which again are pretty dang close to mint

I'd love to pick those up, but the shipping costs move the deal from steal to just okay - plus the risks of shipping, even when well packed. I'll pass for now. Someone's going to get a sweet deal....

Can I get a picture of the Sound Anchor stands that are included?

    (still interested lol)

I know I should just buy these and shut up, but I have never heard these that I can recall.

I'm afraid these will be a downgrade from my LSi9's which I absolutely love. But I could be totally wrong.

If I was within driving distance, I would be all over these. You really have nothing to lose. If you like them better than your LSi9s, you'll be able to sell the '9s for a lot more than you will have paid for these, and if you prefer the Polks, then you can add $100 to what you've paid and still pass on a killer deal.

Plus, you'll get a chance to experience a classic speaker in your own system.

    Win Win.

I thought of ANOTHER sales pitch for you!

Imagine, you would have like 30 minutes to teach me about why Tyler Acoustics is horrible! ;)
