With the exception of the Polk Audio RTi150's all of my speakers are over 25 yrs old. The NS 670's were made in 1979, the NS 200m's were made in 1981. I will never sell either of them . Same goes for the others. If you are happy with your current spkrs sound keep listening to them and enjoy them. Your ears and your ears only is what matters when it comes to making decisions about your gear..:cool:Amps- Nakamichi PA 7 & PA 5.

I have owned a pair of Monitor 11t's since 1987. I wouldn't part with them for anything. My friends have replaced their speakers 2 to 3 times since then and still comment how these speakers still sound great and have stood up to everything that has been thrown at them.

I have a set of Polk SDA CRS+ and Polk Mointor 10 B's I got back in the late '80's when I was in the service. I just got them going along with all my old carver equipment and wouldn't trade the sound for nothing new. In fact I hope to be getting a pair of SDA 1C's in the near future to join my system. I love the vintage stuff...LOL, I don't really think of it as vintage, just great equipment.

I have the early polk moniter 5's and a new pair of ls-50's, I think the 5's go back to ?88? the 50's to the ?1990's? .
I dont ever think I will sell the ls-50's they sound way to good for the used price out there , I use the monitor5's with 2 subs . -
I have a pair of KLH 6 that I bought new in 1974. They are still around because they sound good. There is always some application for them around here.

I do not care who you are or what you have. Speakers hold the most important part of the equation when it comes to great sound. When they were manufactured means nothing. Upgrading them from that point? Oh, dear.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I think that's why so many of us have held on to some of our speakers so long. -

My dad's JBL L166s are probably as old / older than I am (32) and he refuses to part with them. I think he bought them in 1983 use from another grad student. Still in great shape and part of his front stage w/ an ES center. I think he may have replaced one of the 12" woofers in the early 90s.ALL BOXED UP for a while until I save up for a new place
