After many arguments and fights about the size of these speakers, this is a wife forced sale. If their was a way to keep them, I would. I even tried to ask my boss if I could store them at the office. :frown: Extremely sad to part with these speakers as they were the first of the many speakers I've owned to completely satisfy my ears.

They are in unbelievable shape. These have been TL'ed and have the RD0-198 tweeters installed. The crossovers are freshly rebuilt with Sonicaps, Mills Resistors, and Axon caps with only about 400 hours on them. The drivers have been JB Welded and Dynamat'ed including the passive radiator. Stock SDA interconnect is included.

$600 or best offer. Pick-up or delivery only. I'm willing to deliver within 75 miles of 92117 (San Diego, CA) for an additional fee.

My guess is that it is not the wife...that is a lame excuse. Good luck with the sale...

Yea, I have a hidden agenda to buy some smaller speakers because I hate these ones.

Had a very bad situation with the neighbors last night complaining about the bass and how it wakes their kids up. Wife is beyond fed up.

Agreed. Turn the volume down if you're bothering people. If you're in such close proximity to neighbors any speaker will bother them. Either adjust your volume to a level where you can coexist with humanity, or follow my advice and use a headphone amp as your preamp and then find some headphones you like. Headphones are a great compromise for the times when you can't crank your sda's.

Can you say "soundproofing"? Get the speakers OFF that tiled floor and dampen the sound in the room some?

When I lived in an apartment I had a two way 6" bookshelf running off a 20w/channel Pioneer integrated and my up-stair neighbor would complain about the 'bass'????

My response was 'what'? Are you kidding? It turned out that she was having man problems and 'any' noise, however faint was a problem for her! I stopped using the loudness button for low level music for two weeks until she got a new boyfriend. Then I was in business again. And believe me--in a living room that was 25' x 15' x 10' that system couldn't possibly offend!

Keep 'em and find a work-around!

excellent point. If you put those speakers on spikes you may find that the problem with your neighbor goes away. The other problem is that tucking the speaker in the corner will cause the bass to be artificially strong.

BTW, thanks for the advice guys. The lady next door is a stay at home mom and I keep the music at low volumes all day long. She said she's endured it for months which means she's hearing it even at low volumes (her husbands very elderly mother lives with them as well). Weird thing is that the bass is pretty dead at most places in the house right up until you get near a corner and then it's insane. My house must be acting as a port firing right next door.

I'm making the move to bookshelfs.

That's strange as you haven't had them for months.

You also talk about having other speakers prior to the 2B's that had more bass and you mentioned that you're moving soon. Like I said......strange.

Damn, your stories are hard to follow.

It's a wife forced sale because the speakers are too big, but you are moving to a bigger place soon, but it's a neighbor forced sale because of kids sleeping, but you are maybe moving soon, blah, blah, blah . . . .

And then you have amazing amps you love and will never part with and send out for upgrades, and put up for sale the next day. WTF?

Yadda, yadda, yadda . . . credibility approaching zero.

    I'm outta here.

Who are you guys!? Sherlock Holmes!?! My goodness. You know my story better than I do! Haha It's actually a combination of all of those things and I haven't been dishonest on this forum from day one. Prove me wrong... I find it hilarious that you know how long I've had my speakers. Wow. I estimated a couple of months and I'm off by what? A week or two at most? Do you want to know the color of my underwear F1nut? Lol jk.

Some facts that will make you detectives less suspicious.

    1. My wife has a possible promotion which would cause us to relocate. It's 50/50 right now so we're not counting on it. Does anybody want the phone number to her employer to verify? lol
    2. It's been almost a few months since I've had them, it was an estimate. I totally forgot to start the timer when I handed the seller my money. Dangit.
    3. Is it really that hard to believe that the reason for the sale is a combination of things? Really? Or is it fun to play detective? I don't know, I'm at a loss for words on this one. But please do entertain, somewhere else.

Here is all that matters, so please have a little self-control detectives, and stop derailing the thread.

    1. I have speakers for sale.
    2. They are real. Not illusions. Not fake. Not broken.
    3. I've sold to another member and had a smooth transaction.
    4. Why the sale? Doesn't matter. Let's move on.

I have a guy coming to look at them in the morning. We can play detective later. To all of you that I've offended in some way or another in the past, I'm sorry. I want to put a stop to this ball-busting extravaganza that follows me. Have a little grace, I'm a real guy that has a hard time making up my mind which tends to lead to confusion, especially when it's online.

Wow, first you're in a rush to rebuild them, then you're in a rush to break them in, then you're in a rush to find them a new amp, and now you're in a rush to sell them. You've lowered your price three times already, and they've only been on sale for what, a day or two???

Trust me dude, you are going to regret this sale.

Funny you mention that, I'll be driving to Colorado July 5th for a huge concert/festival I'll be working sound at. We'll be in Olathe. We are driving a 15 passenger van out there so if they don't sell by then, and if we have room which I doubt there will be, they are yours!
