Scary crash at Le Mans

I love this race, always a fun watch, hate to see crashes like this one, everyone was ok luckly, http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/blog/from_the_marbles/post/Audi-destroyed-in-horrific-crash-at-Le-Mans?urn=nascar-wp1912 the driver of the Audi walked away (McIssh?) the photographers got very lucky in this accident, well, back to Speed Channel coverage.....Enjoy the race, fans :smile:!! I'll be up watching most of the night. May the best man/mens win!!

Question, about 1:30 in the vid, does the Ferarri have it's emergency flashers on just before the Audi clipped it? Or were the track caution lights reflecting in the lenses?

    Anybody know the ballpark weight of one of those tires ?

    That tire going over the top of the barrier must have looked like a flying elephant to those photogs standing there seeing this crash take place.

    And the driver walked away. Amazing.

    Yea that's a bad one but I don't think it's the worst I've seen, There was one at Indy a few or more years ago where the guy hit the divider between pit lane and the track split the car in two before it completely disintegrated.

    The one that got lose had the wheel and part of the suspension with it.

    Pretty heavy. Especially with the speed it was going.
