F1nut - any idea how repairing one of these speakers could cause the phase to reverse? It seems odd that the speaker is fully functional other than the reversed phase...

Depends on how you "fixed" the driver, If you removed the magnet from the backing plate you may have flipped it over when you put it back together that would reversed the polarity. Drivers are normally assembled and then magnetized.

    UPDATE:

When you repair a "frozen" driver there are three parts to reassemble - one of which is a magnetic "dounut" which can be assembled two different ways. Both ways would be completely functional but of opposite polarity.

I am certain that in repairing my woofers I assembled one backwards from how it was originally assembled at the factory. This should not cause any issues whatsoever as long as the speaker is re-checked after repairing and the "new" polarity indicated. It can be difficult to determine which way the magnet was originally glued once the old glue is cleaned off of it.

    What do you guys think?

Give the man a cigar , you should be cool as long as you have noted the polarity, I would still be looking for replacement drivers for the ones you fixed just for peace of mind and the you could use the fixed one as backups if needed.
