I ordered a Marantz sr6005 from Amazon last week and it came in today. I got everything hooked up and calibrated, it worked and sounded great. Now all of a sudden it will pass audio only and I can't get any video from my sources. I've tried resetting the microprocessor, changing out hdmi cables, trying different inputs and reading the entire manual with no luck what so ever:mad:. Does anyone have any ideas? I really didn't want to have to ship this back and wait another week for something different, hopefully it's something simple but I doubt it. Thanks for the help guys.

This may sound stupid but it may be worth a shot. Try a hard reset. Unplug the unit with no connections intact [RCA's, HDMI's...], wait about a minute and then short out the pins on the plug for 30 seconds, using anything that conducts. Set everything back up.
Issue still exist?~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Yep it's still doing it, thanks for the tip. At this point there are no stupid ideas I just want video! I was playing call of duty and everything was fine, I hit "watch tv" on my Harmony and I only saw a blue screen on my tv, so I tried going back to Xbox and got the same screen. I also can't see the overlayed gui or any menus.

Sounds like the video side is toast. Sorry to hear that.
They just don't make them like they used to I guess. -
Eeks, that stinks. I had about the same thing happen when I bought a refurbed SC-25, I hated having to wait ANOTHER week for it, but the seller was great and paid for shipping both ways on the exchange. Good luck.

It is definitely broken according to Marantz, I returned it today for a full refund and ordered a HK 3600 instead, should be in Saturday and I can't wait.

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure it's to late now but maybe just maybe your harmony remote was programmed for the wrong TV input.
I gotta say , HDMI is the single worse thing to happen to our business. It's te worse technology I have ever seen. I have never seen more failures in my life. You are not alone nor is Marantz.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
I did it manually and even had Marantz try a couple different solutions, since it wouldn't overlay gui for the menu or volume they decided it was done for. I'm hoping the HK 3600 is a good one, should be here soon so i'm up and running again asap.
