Just lost power here to the house as we are getting slammed by a super typhoon. Winds are supposed to get to 160mph in my area with gusts up to 195mph. Typhoon is also heading towards those nuclear reactors that melted down during the earthquake. Damn this is getting scary! Via iPhone

Thoughts and prayers, many thanks.

Still in the dark with wind speeds picking up. Looking out the storm window I see some larger pine trees down. Debris all over the place. The block is in darkness. Going to try and rack out if possible and see what the morning brings. Thanks all.

Wonder if I come back will it get better. Tired of all these disasters.

Good idea to shut off electricity in your house in case of flooding - if safe to do so.

Been through a couple hurricanes and it's down right scary!

    Be safe Sherard!

Made it through the storm guys. House took no major damage so I'm happy about that. Just damaged the palm trees and my storm door took a beating. Other than that I'm good. Power came on around 5ish this morning. Heck of a night, but all is well. Spent the morning cleaning up the yards, pressure washing all the debris off the house, etc. Hoping to get on the grill, and fly the flag proudly throughout the Memorial Day weekend.

With these sort of things you just never know how it will unfold, prayers and well wishes received. Many thanks to you all.
