Just kidding I can, and do all the blue collar trade activities. Too bad it's all beneath the current crop of young americans to take up, that is what creates the vacuum that the wetbacks are only too eager to fill.

What exactly does "cry to have a good living" mean?

Personally, I stand side-by-side with law-abiding CITIZENS who are willing to WORK hard to EARN a good living. I don't care if they were born here or not, but they have to play by the RULES, enter LEGALLY, apply for citizenship and fulfill all of the legal obligations.

Otherwise, I think we need waaaaay more heavily armed Sheriff Joe's.
I stand shoulder to shoulder with those that go through the process of coming here LEGALLY, ready to bring their unique spirit to our shores and embrace what it is that makes America great. I will stand ready to send packing anyone that violates our laws and my nation's sovereignty for the purpose of stealing what does not belong to them. I will stand opposed to anyone that comes here to be anything other than what millions have spilled their blood to defend.

I am an American. If you want to be Canadian, stay in Canada and come on down for a visit every now and again. If you want to be a Mexican, that's ok too, but the same rules apply.

Politically, ur both correct but I don't know man just something inside of me that I could care less if their status is illegal or legal. I guess I could be a priest or a missionary. I have worked with these people and I understand them why they do what they do. It is easier for us on this side of the fence bcoz we are blessed/ fortunate but on their side it's hell. True that there are variables/ factors we can discussed to justify both parties but bottomline is we are all human and a life of ur children are worth dying for. I know rules are rules and must be followed at all cost but hey as said b4 direct this rules to those who abused it criminally & to all the oppressors of our lawful peaceful citizens.

Wrong way around. The pay dropped down to crap because they could get guys under the table for $6 an hour.
Any crew working now that DOESN'T use them can't win a bid. Thus,
go that route, or go under. Don't underestimate the young Americans.
Once again, that's the crap the people who employ them spout out
to excuse running a business with illegal labor.
I've actually had a guy stop and tell me in my front yard that a white guy
shouldn't do that kind of work, and offered to have his crew do it for me.
    I sent him packing.

The wetbacks around here (MD-Balt.-Wash.) won't even get outa bed for $6.00 ! They're getting $12-15.00 Hr. average! The pimplefaced, pus-head young Americans around here would rather flip burgers or deliver pizzas for min. wage, than make twice that doing some actual hard work and learning something useful in the process.:frown:

The reason the U.S. is "Blessed/fortunate" is because Americans were willing to sacrifice all__, in the hope of Freedom and Liberty. All one has to do is visit cemetaries to see the gravestones of those brave patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice upon the alter of freedom. Mexico 's people need to make the sacrifice for their____ freedom.

Nothing wrong with being an American that believes in the principles upon which we were founded. The only koolaid being drunk is by those that believe our founders got it wrong... we call those progressives and communists. Which one are you? It is worthy to note here that communists and progressives tend to share the racist views you espoused earlier in this thread. I hope they ban you for them.

I'm not defending the use of wetback, BTW. It kinda fails the "will you get your **** beat if you use it in front of said minority" test and is generally accepted to be a slur, around here anyway.

Speaking of ****-beating tests, NJ should go to a klan/skinhead rally and tell them that he's a progressive/communist. I sure he will be welcomed with open arms.

Don't know your area, but here..... they (illegal hisp.) call themselves "wets" in a jocular manner, similar to the AAs calling each other every permutation of the "N" word possible. Mojado is heard followed by peals of laughter , all the time. I think of the word only as being descriptive(wet from the river crossing), there are mucho terms for Mexicans ect. in general that I don't/won't use, whether they happen to be in America or home, south of the border.

damn, you're right though. either way, both parties will screw the american people. honestly, the way things are going i think is ireversible. with the population growing, there is no way in hell this system is sustainable. not even if we adhere completely to the laws/constitution. population will do us in eventually.

i won't call it greed that drives business owners to contract out. well, that makes no sense. what i mean is that to a certain extent, i see why they do it. not just for a fat paycheck, but to keep their business profitable and in some instances... from going under. i work for said type of business owners. alot of our stuff is shipped off to china to be made vs in-house. it never bothered me before. but the more mature i become, the more i pay attention, and the more i see the fallicy. it's frightening how little i actually knew when i was younger and thought i knew it all.

and that's a segue into the next problem. the youngin's who think they know something. don't get me started...

I am dealing with that now. Jobs are going to India, or they are coming here. The funny part (sarcastic) is we are expected to work all day, and attend, via conference calls, meetings with the India team at 11 PM (PST). If you object you are not a "team player".

However, in regard to this thread, while I agree it would be nice if there were no illegal immigration, the fact is that has been occurring as long as this country has existed. Unfortunately, in the real world, rarely is there a simplistic right/wrong, black/white solution to a social problem.

Isn't it the irony to hire the cheap labor to be still competitive or be out of business for unable to be competitive?

That's why the hard working middle class got slashed in many ways. Both you and I know the politicians won't care as long as the job is done regardless of whether it's done by an American or $15/hr Indian on H1B Visa. I hope this will change soon with a better vision for this country.

Am I sounding like a Tea Bagger or a left or right wing nut? Anyway, I am not and it's my last comment on the politics.
