Hey Justin,
Seriously man, you outta add a game section. I know there are alot of gamers on this forum and I am sure it would be a regular thing. I am about to get into the gaming market after I get my new sub and repair my surrounds and everything like that. I think you should definetely think about it. As I would be an all time regular poster. Fo Sho.
The Music and Movies could work, Off Topic could to, but how about a strictly gaming forum? That would rule dude, post cheats, hints, tricks, game title, release dates, opinions, you know the Club Polk style! lol! But think about it dude, I would definetely be a regular on there...

I agree. I have seen game sections on other forums, and they looked mighty cool. I know I would appreciate one, and would frequently use it.
-
Mx, I think you would be better off changing the 'spin' on your statement.
How about suggesting a 'Multimedia Speakers - Gaming' forum.
It would have *something* more to do with Polk, and you chances for actually getting such a forum might increase.
Cheers,
RussCheck your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
Ya know the damn kid has got a good point!
Agree with Russ, gotta make it feel....hmmm Polkish could we say? -
You know, wouldnt you classify Bose as an overpriced computer speaker system? I mean...really...lol
Anyways, yeah - It would be a good place to post problems with the computer speakers that some customers have and come here time to time to solve.....
But it would totally rock, I would love it as I have been out of the gaming world for a while due to my audio hobby. But I hope to get back into it later next year and would love to go full force until christmas of 2004. Which I could move alot of game retail in that time. This will be awesome!
Cmon gamers! Get your votes in! The more the better chance it'll happen.
As Justin says, you ask, it happens- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

I'm with you Sid. We have more gamers on this board than I thought.

Yeah, You got another gamer here.
The only thing is, I don't know if I could find enough to talk about to merit the addition of a new section, however if one were to go up, it's got my support. -
Actually, that would be kinda cool. I really don't know where to go to find info on the latest and greatest in PC games (other than running to the nearest store).
Got my vote!
JohnNo excuses! -
While I wouldn't consider myself a gamer I still love a good 12 hr Tetris marathon or some Final Fantasy. There's also a PC game, Battlefield 1942 (?) that my buddy showed me. I finally have a laptop (with built in Polks) that can handle it.
If he doesn't go for it I suggest moving it to the Music & Movies category. "Your reviews, suggestions, and questions regarding ALL current entertainment formats" pretty much sums it up.Make it Funky! -
I'm in.
Tiger Woods 2004 coming out in a few weeks. Can't wait.
I never know what games to rent, it would be nice to get some recommends.finally have a laptop (with built in Polks)SDA-2a, Anthem Pre-2L, Anthem Amp 1, MF A324 DAC, Rotel RCD1070

Cool, sounds like a good idea, and an actual reasonable suggestion, considering the source
Micah, think of a catchy name and make a description and it'll be done (I love passin' the buck)

Nor can I. I am debating whether to just order it now, or rent it once to make sure it doesnt blow, and then buy it. Either way, its going to be Tiger Woods 2003 or 2004. Just an awesome game. -
I'm a firm believer in renting before you buy ;D may cost you $5 but can save ya $50 ;DHemi: (HEM -e) adj. Mopar in type, V8, hot tempered, native to the United States, carnivorous, eats primarily Mustangs, Camaros, and Corvettes. Also enjoys smoking a good import now and then to relax.

I never understood why ppl drop 3 large on the TOTL systems when you can wait 6 months and often less and get the same system for 800 dollars. Anyone with me on this? Anyone supporting the TOTL thing?
Tony, post the specs man. tell me what you got -

nice, glad you went with an Nvidia based gfx. how do you like the LCD? How does it perform vs. a CRT? I love the IBM P260 I have, but it's about 70 pounds and a hassle considering I move so frequently.

LCD's are generally a trade-off between space and sharp details in high speed gaming. If you're willing to spend the cash, you can get a real nice LCD screen that is a top performer. Sharp makes some nice LCD screens and this Samsung is no sloucher either. I'm using the DVI connector from the Video to LCD. It doesn't generate near as much heat as my old 19" CRT, takes up about 1/3 of the space, uses 1/10th of the power, has a low response time (ablity to switch pixels on and off) to keep the "streeking" from happening when you play FPS, and most importantly, a super bright backlight and filter to keep things in check. Whites look like whites and blacks look like black (not gray).Damn....8 lines...I've gotta put my sig on a diet now....
