Klipsch Reference II vs Polk Rti

I am currently using RTi8s and Csi5 for 75/25 (Movies/music). Now, I am able to get Klipsch RC-52 II for $110 each shipped. I plan to get 5 of them to replace the 3 polk (use extra 2 as computer speaker for 100% music).

Low isn't an issue since I've have a 12" 300W sub.
Power shouldn't be an issue since they're both super easy to drive by a Sony V444ES AVR 110WPC. If need, I can use an unused HK PA5800 5 channel AMP with 80WPC.

given this case, which route would you take? . what do you think?

What are you asking exactly? I'd stick with Polk and the Sony....but you're probably going to choose the Klipsch anyways by the way the post reads. You still don't need the HK, why not try it on the Polk's before you drop them off in the FM?

I just have to ask you one thing ... did you audition the Klipsch ??? because those horn drives not everyone likes the sound ?????

I'm a fan of both polk Rti series and Klipsch. If I had to choose and I was 75/25 favoring movies , Klipsch is a no brainer. They are way more dynamic and theater like. They are actually scary at times. I think Klipsch is in another class then the Rti when it comes to theater. If you never heard a properly powered and calibrated Klipsch Reference theater system , man you haven't heard home theater yet. Even at the entry level , Klipsch excels over all others anywhere near their price point.
Music Klipsch does very well. They throw the music at you and explode with every note. Some love this some hate this. Klipsch gives you a more "live" sound as the horns really come alive every db you turn it up.
Personally I think Klipsch can be considered in the run for the best overall speaker bang for buck in all their price points.
Polk rti series speakers are very nice as you probably already know. If you give them clean power and properly set them up , they can be wonderful for everyone but the more discerning Audiophile. They have a lot to offer for both music and theater. The latest version in the RTia series are the best ever. Wonderful music speakers and very nice powerful theater speakerrs. I have Installed many RTia series theater and I always left with a smile.

Polk and Klipsch are great companies and I can't see making a mistake. If you are buying the Klipsch off sheer price then you should go hear them first.

kLIPSCH makes great surround systems.(I still need to find someone to repair my 4.1 promedia system.)Missing the rear effect.
I may be looking for a 5.1 powered system and klipsch is at the top of the list.

I'm honestly trying to sell my Rti's and have been looking at going with the RF82,RC62,RS52 combo, I heard some the other day and was blown away. It's all about personal preference and what sounds good to you.

Klipsch Reference series really are nice speakers. When properly set up with an appropriate receiver, they can be downright incredible. I still remember listening to Saving Private Ryan on their higher priced Reference speakers with a Pioneer Elite receiver about 8 years ago. Dynamic, detailed and no hint of brightness is how I would describe it.

I personally chose Zu Audio Omen Def over the Klipsch RF82 (my final two choices) for my theater. They are excellent for movies but at the same time truely excell with music. I could live with them as my main 2 channel system as well as theater. They give a free trial so I didn't have to take any chances. I didn't go with Polks for this particular adventure only because after you go with Polk every time for 20 years its nice to give the roulette table a roll just for the heck of it.
