I sat down to listen and Im like - man something sounds off. Get up and tap on the Candela and HOLY JESUS!

Mullard NOS with the square getter ordered baby! YEAH!

I think this means one thing - might as well put this baby on repeat until the new ones get here so everything is nice and burnt in!

Not in your crossovers you aren't.

Didn't I send you some tubes? You need more au7 varieties?

I ordered a few from you - I will admit they did not tickle my fancy! But they are in the drawer -

My favorite so far is RCA blackplates (I believe that is their designator) D-Getter? Sound right?

Mullard has been a constant I keep seeing so I ordered a set...

After further listening part of what I was hearing (thankfully my ear infection is now gone and I could lay my ears on it)

The inductors that I changed out changed the crossover point and I was hearing some muddiness in the upper midbass that I was not digging... but my tubes are also bad...

All in all I cant win! ;) haha

I threw the old inductors back in and this verified my thoughts on the crossover point changing...

A change in DCR can transfer function and overall driver efficiency, it doesn't change the point per se.

Its hard to explain.... but there is this one song I use for a reference of "midbass control" and there was a modulation effect with the new inductors...

The old inductors removed/reduced this effect.

Either way I like the old inductors for now...

I meant to say above, "can affect transfer", but I believe you got the gist of it.

How big of a difference in DCR was there?

This would IMO only be apparent in the shunt position of a high pass network where yes a change in resistance can change the shape of the knee at roll off.In series with a woofer I would think your only altering the voltage sensitivity and electrical Q(Qes) of the woofer.

Some of the values were right on a 10% change while the other was spot on
