Sorry I could not make it last weekend but I had family obligations that kept me from attending. Please do put me down at least for the 703 and if possible 707 demos. Are speaker stands included in the demo equipment? I too felt that the room at LSAF was way too small for the 707 and want to hear them in a proper room. For me the 703 are closer to my price point and I am very interested in putting an ear on them.

I got a pair of the TL3 and plan to hook them up to my current system soon just to give them a listen until I can get my second system equipment. Have to deal with my bi-wire cables but I can make it work. Would like to add the center and watch a couple of movies on them too!

Russ, thank you for all the planning and effort you put out for these two meets. I had a great time hanging out and hearing all the awesome equipment at LSAF.

Edit to add, I was pretty humbled by all the audio knowledge and experience that was present at that meet. Made me realize how much I have to learn and how much farther I have to go in this hobby.

The TL3 is pretty large. While I think they will fit on my computer desk, some of the sound would be obscured by my monitor. Does it have a keyhole slot for hanging?

Cathy, you'd have to have a pretty small desk. They aren't that big.

Jim and Mark, you guys should coordinate. Yes, Mark, Jim has stands that I'm circulating with them - again, just be prepared for me to make a phonecall to you and arrange pickup on a day or two notice if need be. Keep me in the loop as to exactly where they are, but lets keep them moving.

Jim, I'll coordinate with Walter and see if he wants to go now on the 707's or possibly later. We can do a handofff/pickup tomorrow sometime possibly.

Cathy, you can see the backs of the the TL1/2/3 in the pictures above. In the picture showing the back the TL3 is on the left and does not have a key hole. It does have a screw connection on the back for speaker stands. My plan is to use them either in a second Music/Ht room or on my desk but my desk has enough room for them. If it helps my current desk speakers are m-audio av30's and the TL3 are more narrow by an inch or two.

Russ, I will PM you and Jim my cell phone number.

Nice work on the pics, Jim! First real close ups of the TL series and the 703s...a number of us had the pleasure of seeing the 707s in all their 'cosmetic' glory at P-Fest '10 as John describes so graphically above.

The 703 review is up in the speaker section! I'm about to give Mark a shout and let him get some time with the 703s. I'm definitely set on buying a pair.
    LSiM 703 Review

The TL-3s don't have a keyhole, but their center channel does. Those screw-in holes are really common for wall-mounts and some stands. I had a set of small speakers I used to run in my bathroom that I had mounted on a set of those mounts and it worked well. I can't think of the screw size/threading offhand, but it's extremely commonplace, so you shouldn't have trouble finding one way or another to get your TLs where you want them.

Russ, I'm handing the 703s off to Mark in about a half hour, so turn to him when they come a-runnin' for them.

the TL3 satellites are the only ones in the series that don't have the keyhole in the back but they do include all the extra hardware you need to wall-mount them so no worries there.

Cool, Thanks Topper. I took some measurements and they will fit on my desk thanks to the small bases on the speakers. I'm seriously considering these for a Christmas present to myself...early!

Russ, what's the situation with 707? If no one plans to demo them, I'll take them in - but I will need to get some help getting up to my place in the Frankfort Tollway area. Otherwise, I would love to demo 703, since I can easily drop by to pick them up.

We can coordinate it amongst ourselves and just keep you informed on where they're at, if that will help you out some. We've got some time to spend with these, so no rush, per se, on getting them from person to person. The 703s however, should probably be a 48-60 hour max kinda thing since they'll have to go back soon.

P.S - I just left Mark a voicemail. I forgot to give him the grills yesterday when giving him the 703s and stands. I'll let you know if that changes any.

I just need to know who has them within the group that showed at LSAF and / or my house. Phone numbers, address if I don't have it etc. The point is to spread the love, but more importantly give Polk feedback by posting reviews - questions etc. Polk is asking for it, straight from engineering so keep it coming.

Lets just keep this thread going for the demo stuff as far as who has what. I want it all public.

And once I get the TL250 set broken in and reviewed, as well as the TL3 center channel, I wouldn't mind passing them around to people who want to demo them in their own place. They're by no means the LSiM, but these little things aren't half bad for a small speaker. I'm almost considering grabbing two sets of TL350s just to try them out as a 9.1 setup

You don't need to pick up those 703's from Mark, he should just be allowed to keep them.

The 707 Review is posted: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120674

I'm gonna kick it with Marv tomorrow in Saginaw (by Ft. Worth) and would be more than happy to bring anyone else along for the ride. I can't stay too late, but I don't mind giving someone a ride to/from. I'm bringing the 703s, RT5s, and LSi7s. Should be a good show!

Agreed. They were a pleasure to listen to. The 707's aren't chump change either. Both would make a marked improvement over my current setup.
