My PSW1000 sounds very muffled and I have to turn it way up to hear it. Connections o.k. I even hooked up my old sub and it works fine on the same connection. Any thoughts?

It could be like me where it appears the plate could be going out. Seems like reading the threads on older post shows that Polk had some really bad issues with the Bash Amp. Think they actually pulled it from the market. Wishing I would have known that before I plopped down $1,100.00 for mine 5 years ago. They are beautiful to look at but sounds like the amp is a real nightmare. At least that how it's been for me. Unfortunately, I have maybe 40 hours on play time on the sub also.
Read the old threads by searching PSW100 and your heart will start to sink.
Good luck my friend.Lsi 15 Cherry Fronts

I have a thought not related to your sub though. Your driving 5 lsi speakers off a receiver ? If you don't want the speaks to go away, some clean power may be in order.
As far as the sub goes, maybe explain how it's set up,connections, crossover, etc. Also, was it working fine before and then poof ? Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade imho.HT SYSTEM-

Good luck my friend.
could be the speaker but I think the amp is deadish to , If you like the speaker replace what you need , if you want new try parts express they even have a ebay store to .
if used is fine just get something off ebay , just dont buy the same bash amp , they may be better but I had a choice of the bash 300 and the dayton sa240 plate amp the techs recomended the sa240 because its servicable and they rarelly have to fix them .
Just make sure you test the woofer first if you need both you should consider a whole new sub .
